The Law of Assumption is a universal law that states what you assume will become fact in your current reality.

Sound crazy?

You’re not alone, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t true. It is amazing what you can accomplish with just your thoughts alone. Through a variety of simple techniques, you can utilize the Law of Assumption, made popular by philosopher Neville Goddard, and start living your dream life.

What The Law Of Assumption States

The Law of Assumption is a principle, universal law that states you can get anything you want by assuming you are already living in that wish fulfilled. Neville Goddard has mentioned that this is fact because nothing exists out of our own consciousness. You are the one who is in control, and no circumstances exist without you assuming they do.

So, if you want to manifest money, love, health, or your dream vacation, all you need to do is live in that wish fulfilled, visualize it already exists, and assume it is done. If what you assume to be true, then it has to harden into fact.

That is what the Law of Assumption states.

How The Law Of Assumption Works

When you first hear about the law of assumption, it can be really overwhelming. There is a lot to learn, different techniques to do, and practically completely reprogramming your mind and how you consciously think of things.

But don’t worry, we will start simple, by explaining a little bit more about how it actually works.

Your subconscious beliefs are what actually shows up in your current reality, or the 3D. This is what you are going to experience on a day-to-day basis. So, if you want to change your life and manifest something into existence so you can experience it, you need to imprint your subconscious with new beliefs.

This all comes down to your assumptions.

When you change your assumptions, you change your beliefs, and then you change your life because your subconscious believes something different. Everything around you starts to miraculously change and happen for you, as long as you hold on to those beliefs and live in the wish fulfilled.

Is It The Same As The Law Of Attraction?

While some of the principles of the law of assumption are similar to the law of attraction, they are not exactly the same thing. The main difference between these two principles is in how you actually get your desire.

With the Law of Attraction, it relies a lot on bringing your thoughts and desires into alignment. You raise your vibrations and frequency in order to “attract” your manifestations.

But with the Law of Assumption, you simply change your own assumptions. It is a subtle difference but a very important one.

With the Law of Assumption, what you want has always been yours, just not in this reality. You simply need to imprint your new assumptions into your subconscious mind, and you will see it in your current reality.

Who Was Neville Goddard?

The person most people think about and reference when talking about the "Law of Assumption" is Neville Goddard. While he got the principle from the teachings of Abdullah, a rabbi born in Ethiopia who used the law of assumption to live out his dream life, it was Neville who brought it into the public eye and taught how the law works.

Neville Goddard was an expert in mysticism and what is often referred to as "New Thought." Until his death in 1972, Neville taught the teachings of the universal law, which he simply called “The Law.” It was the Law of Assumption, that whatever you assume will harden into fact.

But Neville Goddard didn’t create this law, nor was he the first to discover it. He actually was inspired by Abdullah, who was a rabbi from Ethiopia whom Neville met in 1931. Abdullah and Neville would learn through Scripture, Kabbalah, and Hebrew for several years, which is where many of Neville’s philosophies came from.

How Do You Put the Law of Assumption Into Action?

Now the big question is; How do you actually practice the Law of Assumption? Believe it or not, this is the easy part!

To put the Law of Assumption into action, you need to identify what you want to manifest, “feel it real” through visualizations and affirmations, and then keep affirming that it is done until you feel like you are living in your wish fulfilled.

People use many techniques, from affirming with looping affirmations over and over again to imprint on your subconscious mind to using visualizations. This works because your subconscious mind is very malleable as long as you know how to imprint upon it.

You do this with repetition and a strong belief in what you assume.

To simplify, what you think, creates. What you assume is hardened into fact. Everything you experience is based on your assumptions, and yours alone. Those assumptions can be changed, which then changes your life.
